Proquartet
ProQuartet is devoted to chamber music and string quartets in particular, with concerts, master classes and academies, all led by outstanding master musicians. In 2008, in a European first, Proquartet will open the European Centre for Chamber Music, in the heart of the Fontainebleau National Estate, in the specially restored Henri IV Wing of the château. This association puts on "Musical Meetings" throughout the year. They take place in Fontainebleau château and theatre and in churches and other heritage sites throughout the Seine-et-Marne.

The Django Reinhardt International Jazz Festival at Samois-sur-Seine
Every year, jazz-lovers get together over the last weekend in June to pay their respects to the famous gypsy musician, Django Reinhardt. Big names in jazz from the world over and gypsy jazz ensembles come together during this festival to provide a broad musical panorama. The village of Samois-sur-Seine, the great musician's final resting place, has a perfect setting: the Ile du Berceau on the banks of the Seine.
