Houssoy castle overlooks this small town in the heart of the Ourcq Valley, which was a major nineteenth-century port. Built on the foundations of an eleventh-century fortified house, the fourteenth-century fortress's only remaining feature is the square keep, which houses an exhibition about navigation on the Ourcq.
